Most of the time a baby and heartbeat should be seen by 6 weeks, but this early if you are off even by a few days it makes a difference. I was 6 weeks 2 days and I saw the beating heart. I'm assuming they are going to schedule another one in about a week to follow up. I'm sure everything is fine.

You won't be able to detect a heartbeat untill 7-8 weeks so don't worry..if there's something wrong with the baby, the lack of heartbeat has got nothing to do with it..im pregnant for the 2nd time and had a scan at 5w 5d and no heartbeat then i had another scan at 7w 4d and then we saw it...wonderful :)
Don't worry

At this stage even the most advanced technology would have trouble picking up a heartbeat sound. Don't worry (i know it's easy for me to say), stress is the worst thing for an unborn baby.

6 weeks is very early and I'm surprised they scanned you so soon, my Consultant said that he will not scan anyone earlier than 7-8 weeks as the heartbeat can't be properly seen before then.
I would not worry too much, are they going to repeat the scan in a couple of weeks time?

Depends on wether or not is was a vaginal u/s or a abdominal one. I had a vaginal one at 5-1/2 weeks and could see a little blip that was the heartbeat...give it a week or so, and ask your Dr if you can go back and do another one.

You have to be at least 7 weeks pregnant in order to detect a heartbeat. So don't worry, it is just too early to see it.
Relax and enjoy it.

6 wks is about the boarderline at which the heartbeat can be seen with a transvaginal ultra-sound. Some will see it by then, some won't.

How a strategies alongside are you? that's the determining ingredient. in case you're 8wks or previous, probability is this being pregnant won't effect in somewhat one. in case you're in the previous 8wks, they won't be waiting to hit upon the heart beat yet in basic terms simply by fact of place. To be hassle-free, nonetheless, in the event that they could see the fetal pole yet no heartbeat, in particular, the being pregnant will effect in miscarriage. Get yet another ultrasound in each week or 2. yet i does no longer wait lots longer than that, in the event that they do no longer hit upon a heartbeat by ability of then. in case you're incredibly miscarrying, you will maximum possibly see the being pregnant already breaking down at your next ultrasound. additionally, touching directly to warning signs of miscarriage, I worked in fertility and a woman there basically had sometime of bleeding without cramping for the duration of her short being pregnant. She got here interior the subsequent day and her uterus became thoroughly empty. It became exceptionally much like she had by no ability been pregnant. additionally, when I miscarried, my basically preliminary symptom that lead me to the common practitioner became all my being pregnant warning signs stopped. not greater sore boobs or sore back or nausea. That became sufficient (by ability of my know-how on the priority) to bypass get an ultrasound and it became an identical effect as yours. No heartbeat, so i mandatory misoprostol to help me bypass the products of concept, considering the fact that i wasn't dilating on my own.

I have had the same thing happen years ago. Knew I was expecting but can't find heart beat. You need to remember that it is very tiny right now. It is hard to find and it is not strong yet. Give your self a few weeks and then you will hear that great thumping noise. Congratulations!
