a cop called and someone turned me in for littering and he said this morning about a citation. is it a written warning or is it a fine?

it is a ticket....you will be fined.

once you have received a citation, that is already a fine. sometimes, there might be court along with the citation, just depending on what its for. i have gotten citations for speeding and stuff like that.. so yes, there is a fine... you know those xings you see on the road stating that there is a whatever dollar amount citation for loitering???

In that context -- it refers to a notice of minor violation -- like a parking ticket -- it is generally meaning there is a fine for the unlawful behavior.

It's a ticket, which may incur a fine. Sounds bogus to me.

well now....did he see it??? or is it hearsay???? cops have to see it before you can be cited or, find trash with your name on it.....he could have just been investigating it and warning you........good luck
