Well im tryn to start my own business i have all the tools i need and Im thinking about starting advertising pretty soon so if anybody does know this please HELP i just cant seem to find out. thank you.

It depends on your businesss. You did not mention your business -- and some types require a business license to operate such as building contractors and daycares while others such as eBay seller do not.

Note that business licensing is DIFFERENT from business registration (while all businesses need to be registered depending on its legal structure, not all businesses are required to get a license before operating)

I know of no states or localities which will allow you to have a business and no business license. Contact the local licensing authority (County Clerk, State Clerk, etc) and ask what you need.'

(Though online businesses may not need a license in actuality, some require other licensing. Ebay selling for other people may require you to have an Auctioneer's Lic. This is true in many states, so again, the best way to find out for sure, is to contact the local licensing agencies.)
