Both, actually, but it depends: if I am really tired, I fall asleep very easily. Also, if I have something really important to do (usually related to feeding or rescuing cats), I wake up at dawn with no problem.

Definitely waking up. I've been at work since 8 this morning (it's now 1:20) and I'm still not completely awake

both...having been dealing with insomnia alot lately mainly because of stress. It's hard for me to settle down, so I take Benadryl to fall asleep. Then it's hard for me to come out of the hazy Benadryl state and wake up. Catch 22...
