You seem to be extremely creative in nature and oh my, you live in New York. Need you even ask this question, my dear?

Asking my inner voice, if Rena should go for this classes, the answer is absolutely YES, and NY Film Academy, also is YES !!
Now it is up to you, only to say I always respect the decisions of this voice, though sometimes I don´t catch all the importance of the matters.
It would be nice to hear from you the experiences you will have there, may be you give us a short note, surely you will have an interesting and fine time !

Rena, not necessarily!
When we are little girls we are very prone to locking onto fantasy ideas. Similar to little boys who at same stage all want to be train drivers.
As young adults we need to access our lifestyle, career and personal aspirations. We also need to look at our natural leanings likes and dislikes so that we choose a career that suits our talents. As very young children we cannot even begin to choose a career or lifestyle from an educated perspective.
We should treasure the memories and aspirations of childhood. These thoughts and deeds helped to form our characters and the person we have become. No adult though should confine themselves to a childhood fantasy in adulthood unless as an adult they justify this choice because it ticks all the boxes for their aspirations and lifestyle as well.

You need to put your head down and go, girl! You have so much energy, as I've judged from your questions, that you must follow through on this. Go for that dream. Regret is a strong emotion which usually does not creep up until it is way too late. Sign up for those classes, Rena! No more excuses!

Instead of making excuses, why don't you join an Amateur Dramatic Society.
They are always looking for new members and it gives you a chance to spread your wings and overcome your nervousness.
For me, the whole point of acting, is to have fun and also give pleasure to other people, at the same time.
Even if you don't finish up as a world famous actress, you will have enriched your own life and hopefully given pleasure to many people.
Don't be shy, go for it!!!!!!!!!!!

Take the class and see where the day takes you. If you feel overwhelmed then you'll know it's not for you. If you feel in your element and like this is the best thing ever then continue taking classes and audtion for a theatrical production when you think you're ready.
check out backstage.com for auditions.
good luck

both my nieces (ages 11 & 13) go to acting school and they love it. they have gotten so confident and outgoing from the classes so even if you don't become an actress the classes will benefit you no matter what. so go for it.

If ACTING is in your heart, GO FOR IT! If you're destined to become one, start your quest right here, right now. Just don't forget to keep your STAR in 'humble shine' within your heart and not above your head. GOOD LUCK, Rena!

If it's something you're really interested in - go for it. If it's something you're just thinking about, try it out, but don't spend too much money on going to the best of everything...until you know if it's something you really enjoy doing or not. (Never know until you try!) My son tried it for a while...but in the end, he didn't like it.
