I am a straight guy that happened to stumble on this question. For me it always starts with looks. But I may think someone is very attractive when my buddy may not. Every attractive woman has something about her that stands out. Sometimes it's the eyes sometimes it's the face. Myself I am a tit man. But that doesn't mean that I only date busty women.
And lets face it nobody looks for personality first. People date people that they think are good looking and then find out what their personality is like.

Looks play an important part at first sight, but a good sense of humor - that comes with a high intellectual level is more important. Eventually after all that, if you are lucky enough to stick around for that long, for sure, a beautiful heart! A pure, beautiful, honest heart!! There is nothing more attractive than that.

I like a girl who is nice, caring, sweet, and has a since of humor. I like girls that are brunettes, with tan or olive skin color. I do not care is she has big breasts or none at all, I do however like a girl with a nice butt. It does not need to be big, I actually do not like big flabby butts, yet I do like them to be nice in shape, kinda heart shaped or round, and a little firm. I think that is so sexy! I also like a woman who takes care of herself, you know showers daily (I say that because I knew a girl that did not) and looks clean. She does not have to look like she just stepped out of a magazine, but one who is neat in her appearance. I like girls that wear little to no makeup. I think that is so sexy to see a woman wearing just a little or none at all. I also like it when her nails are clean and taken care of. I hate girls who think they look good and act all snooty. I don't care what she looks like or who she is, that will turn me off fast. She should be considerate and thoughtful. Enjoy spending time with me and doing things, one that does not feel the need to go out and party every weekend or drink all the time. I also will not have anything to do with one that uses drugs or has had many partners. That just makes her look trashy. Also honesty is a big thing with me, I wan t her to be honest and feel that she can tell me everything and know I will not get upset. Also one that does not find a reason to fight or argue over everything. I dated a girl like that for about a month and then broke up with her. I know people do not always see things the same but they should all be able to act like adults and talk out any issues or problems in a calm manner. I find as far as groups go I am attracted to Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern women. I love the way they look. The skin color, the dark hair and eyes. I am not stuck to that I have dated blonds and so on before. Just as a rule that's what I find attractive. Wow this was long!!! Sorry, but this is what I like in girls. I did not mean do get into so much detail. I do hope this helped you out some! =)

Initially it is looks. Shallow, but we humans are visual creatures. This is fleeting, however.

Then intellect takes over and it is conversation time. Personality (sense of humor, interests, etc) and intelligence now are given more weight than looks.

Looks do 'open the door.'

So 'Plain Jane's should dress to catch the eye so they can get the conversation stage. Or you just try and be the life of the party (so that your conversations can be overheard and you bypass the catch the eye phase).

I know lots of guys are 'dogs' who focus on looks, but I could not spend vast amounts of time with a 'trophy' girl... Give me substance! Physical desires yearn to be fed but so do intellectual and spiritual needs.

Everything really.

Attraction is hard to analyse but if you are attracted you just know and feel somehow that that there is something special between you.

The girl usually has same feelings too.

When I met the love of my life we both felt as if we had known each other all our lives - even though we had never met before.

Honesty, pure and simple.

It's not looks, I don't judge people on appearance. Even the dullest people have a personalty, perhaps its hidden and needs a good friend to understand it. I look for some one who is forthright, and can be brutally honest with opinions, thoughts and sincerity. It can be from a man or a woman.

the attraction is simple, a gay man can relate to many things a girl can, like dress and how they look it`s sort of away of letting there feminine side out, ohh! they get loads a tip on how to do there make up. Regards

first off it's always based on looks. you never really are interested in a person you see if your not attracted to them. the most important thing in personality. there are some super good looking people that are just stupid or annoying and things like that. its a combination of looks and personality. personality is more important than looks when it comes to serious relationships.
