It is easier for dictatorial governments to maintain control over the masses if they can provide an evil common enemy. I have never seen rallies in the US chanting death to anyone and burning flags or effigies or anything else.......

The only thing better than your question, is the answer to your own question.
It's always the way, though. We support the whole damn world and people are envious of us for that. We give money in foreign aid to every country. We supply half the world with food. We have freed more countries and peoples than any other country in history in terms of military support. We purchase products which infuses currency into countries that would have none. We bought enough oil from the Middle East that all those crazy bastards should by now have their own camel and an acre. They should all be living like kings. Yet they are so poor and corrupt and backward still.
Maybe "losers" is the correct description of their civilization and culture. And what do we do? Do we burn their flags? Do we fly our planes into their buildings? Do we blow ourselves up in their cafes and bus stops? No. We give them money and aid. We really are a great country. Probably too good.

All the haters chanting death to America-what the hell is wrong with you? It is the wrong of the Americans that they are now paying.
Do you ever see any Americans chanting Death to wherever and burning flags like degenerates? Americans never believe 'chanting death' because they believe in killing people for reasons best known to them and the Oily interest in the people they usually kill.

hmmmm, going by the posts throughout this site, americans are the most hateful people. you inflict so much suffering around the world and call it democracy.
you say you don't want to see millions of children dead, but your military has murdered more children everyday.
millions exercise their rights without american interference daily, yet its still the usa that has a monopoly on democracy and freedom.
you have the right to freedom, what you don't have is the right to impose your will upon others, which you are doing right now thoughout the world.
yes, i hate your government and what it stands for, so if you invade my country, I give you a solemn promise I will strap as much explosives to my body and anihilate as many of your soldiers as I can... is that clear to you now.
I live in a democracy, you do not, you live in a fantasy land that is a disease affecting the decent people of this planet.
burn usa burn....I can't wait until you are all gone!

I think most people of every country just want to live their lives, make their living wage and provide for their children, enjoy the sunrise, listen to the birds and live in peace with their neighbors.
It is the leaders that manufacture and give to us common people problems.
Religions long have separated man from man and declared "others" as not being quite what "their God" wants. Yet God Itself has put the very spark of life in "others" also.
Governments establish borders and whip up hysterias against people outside the border in order to establish control over the people inside the borders. Often the common people within a countries borders are the greatest enemy of the leaders.
Few corporations provide a fair product for a fair price. Decimating what is not in our own backyard to make a small majority wealthy and letting everyone else exist in slavery and saying it is their own fault is not a very moralistic society.
We have a pretty nasty inheritance as reality even with our Public Media. Who really knows what is what.
It is my opinion that with this world wide web we should be talking to each other about our hopes and dreams for tomorrow. There has got to be some individuals in this world that can do something to make better tomorrows.
I go to a school here in Washington State which has students from all over the world. I have talked with people from Amsterdam, Germany, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, San Salvador, Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, South Africa, Chile, Egypt, Argentina, Ukraine, Japan, China - all of them are people! All of them connect via email and gather in chat rooms on line and discuss all the same problems.
One of the interesting things about talking to people from all these varied places is comparing what is presented in the different medias. Stories presented are not always the same versions.
With this world wide Internet even we here in Yahoo Answers should be becoming more connected yet in politics and in religions and in sexualities it seems we are still dumb Romans watching Gladiators in the arena and arguing just like sports fans over which team is number One.
The only place I see support and facilitation is with woman talking about pregnancies.
There is something very wrong with this picture.

I personally am fed up with the USA. I am not a "Hater" however, i am still proud to be a Texan. But The only thing America has to offer anymore is guns. That and even with Sept. 11 in mind, your almost guaranteed safety. Health care is better in Europe, Life itself is actually better in most other "Civilized" countries. The almighty dollar is declining, yes. But it is still number 2, i believe, just under the Euro. Not all foreign countries want America dead. But a lot of them are discontented with us. Most Muslims don't even care to kill or hate us. It is the Arabs who are so devout that they think they have to cleanse the world of every non Muslim in existence. So yeah, to hell with them. But Americans in general think that the borders of the US are the borders of existence, of the world. I strongly suggest you take a trip to Kenya, or Australia. It's not near as bad as you may think.

Not according to Liberals. They want Hillary Clinton to be their next president, and she is a Socialist.....National ID Cards, and Universal Heath-Care are the 2 first agendas on her list. Adolf Hitler wanted the same things, as she. That doesn't sound very free to me!
Moody Red, if the Constitution guaranteed the right to life, and those, like Congress, and the supreme court are supposed to protect the Constitution, then why are Liberals allowed to abort babies, and fetus'? The unborn are losing their right to the Constitution, aren't they?

Its sad but as you study history you begin to realize that while this country has done some really great things, it has also done some bad ones. After WW2 the people of Iran elected a moderate nationalist named Mossadegh. He wanted Iran to control its own oil. Not an unreasonable desire for a patriot of any country. However the US oil industry wanted a puppet who would sign sweetheart contracts with them, so they asked President Eisenhower to overthrow Mossadegh and the CIA did that for them, and installed the Shah who instituted a police state and motivated Islamic fundamentalism in the middle east. It wasn't there until we put it there. President Reagan armed Osama bin Laden and put Al Qaeda in business because and only because it was fighting against the USSR in Afghanistan. Not a wise move, history has shown. Democratically elected leaders in South and Central America have been overthrown, Allende in Chile and sorry the name escapes me in Nicaragua. People do not like being treated this way. Would you? If some occupying power overthrew your government and dictated the prices that your country would receive for its natural resources you probably wouldn't like it one bit. Nobody else does, either. The problem is not America's values on paper, it is that the country too often does not put those values into practice in reality. It did a great job rebuilding Europe and Japan after WW2, it saved the world, it saved millions of lives. It needs to look inside itself for what is truly good and quit mucking around in self serving short sighted greed.

Our constitution guarantees the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Yes, there are some individuals that try to ruin or destroy our country. Is it freedom envy?
We must hold all the things we are fortunate enough to have, close and dear.
We must not allow anyone to take any of our freedoms from us.
We have opportunities that some may only dream of.
We may not agree with many things others do, but we have freedom of speech, freedom to worship as we please, and much more.
Stand up for what you believe, and don't let anyone get you down.
