My friend's dogs have scratched the wall near the door(everytime they want to be let out). They are made of brick and cement. Now they are all rough and no matter how many times she repaints, the same thing happens the very next day.
What is a permanent cheap and easy fix for this?

I need a fix for the walls, not the dogs!

Pls let me know if you have ideas to fix the wall from getting damaged again.I am sure my friend was clever enough to clip their nails.

You could paint the walls and then attach something with plastic anchors (like a sheet of plywood maybe with formica on it, or aluminun, or plexiglass) and just replace it every so often when it gets bad. But if the dogs are in the habit of scratching there it is going to be tough to stop them

All working canines in many situations have their dew claws bumped off at 40 8 hours old. it extremely is finished so the canines won't rip or snag it on some thing in the sector (i.e. looking, monitoring, rescue, sled pulling, etc.). that is not needed for a on an usual basis domicile puppy, however the dew claw is functionally ineffective to all modern canines so it in no way hurts to take the precaution. performed early adequate that is a very painless and straightforward technique.

I'm pretty much in agreement with the notion of altering the behavior of the animals FIRST. These are obviously persistant dogs to degrade Fired Clay Brick and Mortar

Brick???? As in RED Brick but painted? SIGH.

No real offense but Brick in it's natural state is far more attarctive than painted. You state LET OUT... I have to assume you mean from the inside house to the outdoors?

The most obvious solutions will be to block their access to scratching; but they will likely then move on and destroy the door. sand if need be, patch and re-paint and put up an appropriate size piece of clear plexi. Then get in touch with the Dog Talker.

Install a doggie door; train the dogs to use it; repaint the wall.
