I think most of the guys involved have different dates set for their sentencing.
I have a dream, a dream of a future where blacks, whites, and people of all color can beat up each other and be charged with assault equally, regardless of race or ethnicity.

I hope they go away for a long long time. I can relate to the kid who got beat up. I got jumped by blacks a few times, once had a skull fracture and concussion even.(Why? because I was white) Ive been robbed at gun point twice by blacks. A good friend was murdered by a black who specifically wanted to kill a white ***** because his white girlfriend pissed him off. The Jena 6 deserve every ***-raping they recieve while in prison.

I'm so tired of this whole race, black, white thing. People need to grow up. Why hasn't there been any exposure to the issue when the black boy got jumped by the white boy at that party. If you are going to do something do it right. Don't just give a one-sided story. It's so stupid how people just can't seem to get along.

Only one was tried & convicted, Mychal Bell, but the conviction was overturned. No one was ever sentenced. So it's unclear to me how a lot were complaining that the punishment didn't fit the crime. The punishment wasn't handed down yet. But clearly the six do need to be punished. It's not acceptable what they did. Good luck. 2D

how does the Norfolk, VA incident relate to the Jena, la one? the boy in VA got jumped! those guys should get a strict sentence!

The sentences are probably not going to be set in stone until they have been appealed up to the highest Federal level.

They are being tried as juveniles, they won't be getting any prison sentence.

Police in Norfolk, Va., are investigating whether an alleged attack against a 13-year-old boy that witnesses caught on tape Saturday was racially motivated, WAVY-TV reported Monday.
The tape shows the victim, Damien O'Rourke, who is white, being violently beaten by a group of African American teenagers. According to the report, Damien and his mother, Reesha Price, said the fight was unprovoked and believe Damien was attacked because he is white.
Damien said he was attacked while going to meet friends to play football. Price told WAVY-TV that she found her badly beaten son just blocks from her home after receiving a phone call alerting her to the attack Saturday afternoon.

they're black, with Al and Jessie on their side throwing out the words oppression and racism 354,534,653 times in a five minute statement they will get a slap on the wrist...
of course if it had been six white guys almost killing a black Uncle AL and Uncle Jessie would demand that the mom and dad got to throw the switch in the gas chamber...
