Corporations pay the politicians, and politicians have to return the favor by allowing the corporations to make the rules. That is politics as usual. Democrat or Republican, it doesn't matter, it's the same old game. It's just a matter of which politician the corporations are paying.
If you want that to change, elect someone like Ron Paul. He's the only politician who does not bend to the special interests' will. His only special interest is the people he represents.

No I don't. And because we the people aren't calling for it. Just because there is a majority of one party or the other doesn't mean much. But a collective voice from the citizenship usually sways policy. Unless they call you Pres. Bush. Who cares less as to what we have to say.

Because those industries give money to both parties. Please remember Bill Clinton vetoed an energy plan just to make the Auto Workers Union happy.
The truth is we make our own energy policy when we buy cars. appliances and other goods. The government and business really have no say in it.

Yes, I trust them far more then I trust the "common man". Despite popular liberal belief, corporations do know what is better for this country, when you give that power to the people, you end up with a socialist, third world, country.
