Make sure car is on a level surface.

Remove upper "fill" bolt on transmission.

If oil leaks out, then you are at max capacity. If not, add oil until it starts to leak out.

Dodge man gave the same advise that i would have. Just one more thing call the gm dealer and ask what kinda fluid goes into the trans. Several times a book or the parts store has led me wrong but the dealer told me the right thing. hope all these help

There has to be a dipstick, if there isnt. Then its a bolt on the side of the transmission which would need to be screwed off and then your finger would feel the level of fluid. My advice would be to take it to your nearest Jiffy lube or car-x they usually dont charge for checking those fluids.

You have to lift the car and keep it level. Look close to where the right axle goes into the std. trans. and locate the small dipstick tube. Clean around the area as lots of stuff seems to get stuck around here so as to not get into the trans when you pull the stick. Then just pull it out and look.

there's a plug about half way up on the transmission,loosen it and if fluid come out of it ,its alright ,if not fill it until the fluid just starts to come out of it ,and it will be full,make sure your on level ground though when you do this,it does matter if the surface its parked on is level,good luck with it.
