While eating in the restaurant my wife found a roach in her salad. She screamed in horror and went to the bathroom and vomitted. The manager was very nice and aoplogized quickly and often and gave us refund. He stated that the workers in the back didnt rincw thw lettuce properly. Do I have a case to receive more than a aopolgy.

Well, roaches are a good source of protein!

Seriously, failing to rinse the lettuce is no excuse. There shouldn't be any roaches in the lettuce to begin with.

Report the incident to your local health department and ask for an immediate inspection of the place.

As for suing, yeah it was disgusting and upsetting, but when you sue someone you need to prove damages. Seems to me the damage suffered here is too small to justify the hassle of going to court, but you can give it a shot--negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Oh yeah. Make sure you have it documented though, because if the manager starts getting calls from the Health Department, he'll probably try to change the story to YOU puting the roach in.

That crap happened to me even though the hair was in the batter before it was cooked. Leeches...

Either way, you should call the health department. Roaches don't eat lettuce and there is no way someone made a salad and didn't see the roach unless they gave you the whole, unopened head of lettuce. That sucker crawled in there.
