Would you support a complete boycott of anything imported that can be made here? Bring the jobs and money back home? Would you boycott companies that outsource customer service, manufacturing, or even parts sourcing out of the country?
Why or why not?

Lib? Me? not even close. Huge carbon footprint? Hardly. Not really green, and don't really care, but hardly lib.
Anyone realize what the long term impact of bringing these jobs back here would do? While things might cost more, there would be 100's of thousands of jobs that no longer exist here, improving the spending power of the people.

When given a reasonable choice, I buy the US product. I won't pay a higher price to support labor unions, or other inflated costs.

It is too late for such a boycott. US manufacturing has left the arena. Toyota, for example, has manufacturing plants making cars here. Who makes washing machines now? What do you do with that?
And just drive by a WalMart parking lot any day of the week.
People who cannot earn enough to buy elsewhere shop at WalMart to feed and clothe their families.
Maybe it's time to face the facts. Americans are not finishing high school which is really today's elementary school.
25% of whites, 25% of Asians, 50% of blacks and Hispanics, drop out of high school. How in hello can anyone expect to succeed in life with those numbers?
Every parent should insist that his/her children do their homework, finish high school, go to community, trade, college or university in order to keep our economy strong.
The standard of living in the US will decline without an educated and trained population.
Corporations are always going to go for the cheapest labor.
Even now, China is becoming too expensive for these corporate creeps. And there is no truly American business.
Look in the annual reports of so called "US" corporations.
Innovation was and still is, (but declining rapidly, just read who gets US patents today) America's strongest asset. But with a dumb and dumber population the time is running out.
We will become the servants of the next great power if we don't grow up.

I do as much of that as I can now,it's obviously not 100% but I try not to buy anything imported any more than I have to. So yes I would support it.

That is a ridicously stupid idea. First of all, jobs rain in the US. It is not a third world country where there is a lack of employment. Second, Would you be willing to pay $170 for a pair of Nike's? that would be the price you paid if it was manufactured in the U.S. We benefit from manufacturing in foreign countries, and they also benefit from us. That creates more jobs in places like Malasia, Phillipines, India, Mexico and China, where they lack jobs. It helps their economy as a country, it helps us to pay less for our goods and it helps the companies that find it a lot cheaper to outsource.

PS: Who in their right mind in this country will take a job sewing t-shirts for 50 cents an hour??

If it were possible to do it with everything, yes. To bad that so many companies have outscourced jobs and so many products are made overseas right now it is not possible. Not saying that if these practices were stopped that we couldn't get back to what we should be.

I admit I do not do it as much as I should. I am on a self boycott of Dell. They employ more people outside of the US than they do inside. I do buy domestic cars though.

Don't be foolish. I want the best product at the lowest price. Certain jobs are never coming back, nor should we want them to. The US is way past being in the business of making toys to put into happy meals

Absolutely.

Not one single dollar bill should go to ANY company that outsources American jobs.
