I have feather down pillows, which causes feathers to fly everywhere! Is there something I can do to control the feathers? Besides the obvious, cotton pillows. I love the down pillows, they were a wedding gift to us. I just want to control the feathers instead of them controling the house. They are EVERYWHERE! I take the pillow cases off and the feathers fly around like a whirlwind! Thanks!

Get the non-allergen pillow protectors. They have such a fine weave on the cotton that the feathers cannot escape. I like the zippered ones because they really contain the feathers. They also protect the pillows and are easy to remove and wash, plus when you take the pillow cases off you don't have feathers flying.

You can buy all the pillow protectors you want, but the feathers will keep coming. I would suggest new ticking. Very cheap at fabric stores. Just sew a rectangle the same size as the pillow. Put the pillow inside and sew up the 4th side. Then put your pillow protectors on.

i've got exactly the same problem,i either take them outside to change them or invite the kids into your bedroom to see how many they can catch...it might save a bit of hoovering but at least it keeps the kids happy while your changing the bed!!!!!!!!!!!
