Everything works. I copied all the songs from my laptop (which I had burned from CD's) and drug it into my MP3 drive. On my actual MP3 Player everything is fine, unless I try to play a song. When I press the play button on a song it reads"No Authority". I just wanted to know what was wrong with it. It was a B-Day gift. I don't even know what kind it is (I don't have it with me)....

nothing is wrong, everything is working as it is meant to

Some music is imprinted with copyright, so you can listen to it on your PC. But you can't transfer it off your PC
some music discs are imprinted, so a PC can't read them

It all comes down to different kinds of copyright

It means you don't own the songs and don't have the rights to them, so you can't play them
