i'm no longer able to discover the observe for what you describe, yet i be responsive to that is not mosaic, photomosaic, or university. Mosaic is once you're taking tiles and place them mutually to make an excellent image. The tiles are no longer products of the enormous image yet little shapes or unrelated varieties that when prepare resemble a image. Photomosaic is once you are trying this with different, small photos. university is once you're taking distinctive unrelated photos and placed them mutually as an inventive fact. What you describe -- one image, broken aside into 9 photos, and separated from one yet another -- is none of those. i'm vulnerable to call it a "breakout" yet that would not seem to be precise.
