All the above answers are correct, it has meant "grand touring" or "gran turismo". This was first used in Europe more than 50 years ago to designate a sports car more suited to long-distance driving. While sporty, it was still (relatively) comfortable.
More recently, the GT badge has become much more common. It generally designates the "sportiest" trim available for a particular model, although it's commonly used on models that really aren't that sporty to begin with.
