Jamma: my question is if you meet any of Jewish people who born in Russia, personally, and what you think of them.

I have nothing to say bad about that! They are human just like us and they wanted out of Russia. If you were there wouldn't you want out? They have had allot of influence in the USA. They have contributed to our society. What would you do if you were persecuted because of your religious beliefs? I know I couldn't handle it, hell I am Catholic! I get persecuted here! Sorry touchy subject for me. I believe we are all equal, regardless of our beliefs!Look what the white man did to the Indians here!

the older were subjects to many pogroms.Jews have had great impact on american culture,some thinkers argue that they shaped the american culture.if you want more information about this particular question and more about jews in general,i'd recommend you the book "A History of the Jews" by Paul Johnson,it is a great best seller book.

All the Jews from Russia that live here in the states that i have met are really wealthy. So i think they contributed to the economic growth in the states.
