I agree, some people can be rude and need to consider the situation.
Actually, a month is approximately 4.25 weeks, however for pregnancy terms, it is much easier to use 4 weeks per month for estimates.
So if someone asks, if you are pregnant for 40 weeks but should be pregnant for 9 months, how does that compute? 40/4 = 10 months but you are pregnant for 9 months. it's because of the 4.25 weeks per month. Hope that helps.

Tell him its about 4 months. We have this problem. A month is not 4 weeks, that is 28 days. All months except for Feb. have more than 28 days. So for 17 months, just tell him as it takes nine months to get his new baby brother or sister, you are four months into the nine month process. We're almost half way there.

Tell him to divide the weeks by 4 1/3 to get a close number. If he wants an "about" number tell him just divide by 4 and get "about 4 months."

As there are approximately 4 weeks in a month - the answer is approximately 4 months pregnant. This will help with his math!
Congrats on the new addition!

Well how old are you that YOU can't tell your 9 year old son - haha? 17 weeks / 4 weeks in a month = 4.25 months pregnant.

Tell him 4 weeks are in an average month. Then you do the math, for him.

I don't mean to be offensive, but does anyone else find it strange that neither a grown woman nor her 9 year old son have the simple arithmetic skills needed to convert from weeks to months? Just wondering...
