To be more knowledgable. If you don't ask a question, how are you going to know the answer?

Can you really tell me you would be happy not asking any questions whatsoever? Why?
Answer me that and you'll have your own answer.
IMO though, questioning things seems to be part of our fundamental existence, part of what makes us what we are (arrogant, self obsessed, etc, admittedly but also human rather than animal - that supposed higher level of functioning we all have), even a 4 yr old will ask questions if the opportunity arises
The irony is that questions only ever lead to questions (as I'm sure you know) which apparently defeats the objective of it in some ways. But in many ways...it doesn't.

Probably because we are an inquisitive lot and not all of us know everything about everything - so we ask the audience [YA] or phone a friend!
