I am curious what on earth gives males the right to abuse women?? I know not all men are guilty of this but there are a lot who are. I was in a bad marriage to where my Ex-husband took it upon himself to urinate over me, heck I would not even treat a dog this way. So what gives a male that power???????

The only thing that gives him that power is the woman who lets him.

NOTHING gives a male that power! For some reason they just have in ingrained into their head that they are gods and that they can't do anything they want to do to women! I think it's partially because s many little boys are pampered by their Mommy's! i have never once allowed myself to fall in love with a mommy's boy because they will probably turn out to be spoiled rotten men! Abuse also can come from having an abusive past. if someone was abused as a child then he has a tendency to be abusive as an adult! sad but true even though it doesn't really make sense!

Christianity sweetheart. They are the ones who originally decided that women were smarter and more powerful and they had to STOP it- so, they rewrote the bible to give men power and make women the cause of all problems. Society has just 'run' with this idea.

I'd kick that f*cker in the FN face! He obviously had NO self esteem and this made him feel powerful.

Join a coven of women - at least do some research.

Foolishly worded question. Unless you live in a country where women are considered third class citizens and treated as property then men don't have 'the right'.
The secular laws in most Middle eastern countries for instance allow you to slap the wife around if she gets out of line.
Laws in other countries like the U.S strictly forbid it. The law is what 'gives you the right' to divorce someone who urinates on you. So don't go snivelling on about 'rights'. Its not a 'right'. Its an action of an ignoramus.

Well, actually nothing gives him "the right". No one can hit another person, especially a man who by nature, even if he's skinny, is far more stronger than a woman!
I really liked the first answer, that only the woman that gets hit allowes him to beat her, she should act about it, and not let any complexed - because this is one of the main reasons men hit women - man abuse her. She shouldn't be afraid of him!!!

No one should ever abuse anyone. Nothing gives anyone that power to hurt others. People do it due to there own ignorance and selfishness. Those people that do that have to have a sad, miserable life and no self esteem to treat a woman or anyone for that matter like that. I hate that you have had to go through that stuff. Not all people or men are like that.

Nothing give man the power to do this horrible things. He does not have any power to do this. He probably is afraid of you and did what he did to feel he have power. If you left him and keep you life going and enjoy life with family and friends. Then you demonstrated him you have the power to continue.

Give the power to your self to go through life, enjoy every day. And keep in mind that been unrespectful is not that they have any power, the power will be given if you accept the situation.

PS I am a man, I believe that this are the minority of man, is just you attract this kind. Look for a different type and you will see I am correct.

It's "alpha male" syndrome. Quite sad really, but they think that if they beat up someone else, that makes them better and more manly. I think it's awful that men have to beat up their women, but that's life. Women need to learn to stand up for themselves and leave a situation before it gets violent.

News flash: if he's beating you, he doesn't love you. He doesn't care about you. And he's not going to change, no matter how hard you try or wish. Get out, count your losses, and meet a guy who will treat you like a princess.

There is no right at all. There's no excuse for it. My wife is no challenge for me physically and I know this. For me to beat on her with this knowledge would make me a coward. (Besides that fact, she made it clear that if I ever hit her she'd take a cheese grater to my wing dang doodle.) No problem.
Any man that attacks a weaker target is a coward. Take on someone of equal abilities or greater but beating on your wife is as pathetic as beating a child.
My wife is a princess and great women should be treated as such. Not treated as slaves or peasants.

What country are you from? I live in the United States and that is against the law, the LAW! Take legal action.

P.S. Is there a problem with dogs in your area? Why are some people peeing on them?
