In our league, any free agent or waiver transaction can be made at any time. The proud owner of S. Jackson, who missed out on Brian Leonard, is saying that almost every other league uses a delay. So that the free agency and waiver wire is essentially frozen Sunday and Monday and you cannot pick up anyone until Tuesday (he actually recommended no free agents and no pickups until Thursday.)

I was just wondering if most leagues are a free for all like we are, or if the majority use some sort of Sunday/Monday restrictions.

Thanks!

I play in about 6 leagues per year and all of them have a delay. Most process waiver requests on Wednesday mornings (like 3 a.m.) and the order used is always the reverse order of standings (so the worst team's 1st request goes through first, if they have any requests). This is the fairest way in my humble opinion because it gives everyone plenty of time to evaluate what they are looking for. Some people have to work on Monday nights, etc..... having a delay is fair and works really well.
