Sweden was not as neutral during WW2 as it would appear. They fueled the Nazi war machine under the guise of neutrality. (same goes for the Swiss)

Yes Scandavia is peaceful NOW but are we forgetting the age of big bloodthirsty brutes in boats with broadswords beating and brutalizing their brethren throughout Europe and beyond?

In my humble opinion, there are nations and cultures that are peaceful in nature. But I don't think there is any nation or culture that is the "most peaceful."
I say this because Humans are prone to greed, violence, lust and anger.
But there are definitely nations and cultures that are bad and harmful.
I think we can learn a lot from philosophical teachings though; whether it's Zen, thoughts of Ghandi or Martin Luther King, or things along those lines that teach peace and motivation to better oneself.

Edit: This edit is for VegasPapi's post. - Chinese people didn't invent Karate. Karate originated in Japan. Kung Fu and Wushu originated from China and are straight up different from Karate. But keep in mind, it's the teachings behind it (self motivation, bettering your body, peace of mind) that a person should learn from it.

I agree with the choice of Scandinavia, but I would include Holland also. I would possibly put Holland first. They make those culture guides for different countries. Check it out at Border's or Barnes and Noble. These guides are written by different people so some countries are better written than others. One of the most well written is one on Hungary. Holland has two different books on their cultural perspectives and attitudes, I believe.

Norway, if we are to believe what has been published over the last many years. I'll have to read some more to find out how we might learn from them. I guess we could start by being blonde.

Scandanavians are a very peaceful culture. I have never heard anything negative or heard about unrest. We can learn that we are all here together, might as well do something useful besides nit pick.

I'd have to say the Australian aborigine or a few isolated tribes yet to be discovered in the rain forest.

What we can learn from them is that being too much of a pacifist often results in extinction at the hands of those with a differing political agenda.

Sweden (and other Scandinavian countries). We can learn from them how to be neutral in violent conflict, how to take care of all our citizens equally, and how to understand that art can be accessible and beneficial to all people.

Buddhist cultures are generally peaceful; consistently.

At least historically.

Whether it be the culture of a nation, or of an individual. :-)
