tell lies?

Because we all think about our personal upliftment and we lie so that our reputation infront of the public or anyother people would be high. It is a bad habit to practice, but sometimes i guess it can be justified. Pretty much we lie so that the real truth about us that we are ashamed of won't come out.

It is because most of us were too naughty or careless the moment we learnt to walk and talk. The best way to get away from scoldings or spankings was to learn to give small, clever lies. As we grew smarter and mix with playful friends, the lies became more sophisticated. More than 75% of people prefer to exaggerate and lie about things, mainly due to pride or group influence.
Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction, so the old saying goes. So do not be depresssed or angry that wherever you go around the world, there will always be people who will boast, exaggerate and lie to you, about anything. It's sad but it is true that Truth doesn't reign anymore......

Lies are sinful. But to me lies can also help someone out.

not all lies r bad..some could to save someone..but yeah..apart frm tht..i believe we tell lies to hide the truth..we don't want a particular person or people to know what actually is..but rather just to save ourself or just to satisfy others we tell lies

to get our selves out of situations easily.
also i lie sometimes coz i feel some people dont want to hear the truth, like when someone tells me long story and then ask me did i do that right? if i know that she/he has already made her mind i'll just say yes coz he/she wants to hear that and is not gonna except my truth!

It's basically an extension of our defense/survival mechanism and comes naturally to most of us.Since in most societies it's not an accepted norm,it produces unfavorable reaction.

it sounds and feels kinda nice wen u hide the truth!!for example if sumone is bad lookin in my frndz too but also i go and say hey..your lookin cute today frnd!!rust me it costs me nothin but that gal will be floating wid the praise she's got!!itz kinda nice too...
i lie sumtimes to save my skin..i mean u cant tell the truth always..
i don call it lying..i call it hiding the truth..lol!!

I don't like to lie to anyone, I wouldn't want someone to lie to me so I won't lie to them. I would rather they told me the truth even if it's something I don't like, I have more respect for people that way!!

My personal opinion is that people lie due to insecurities they may feel on some level.

There are probably as many alleged "reasons" as there are people. But in the simplest of terms, they all fall into one or more of three groups: fear, greed and hate!!!
