Gosh, I don't know. Probably the same reasons people vote for an alcoholic cokehead with the brain capacity of a toaster oven as their president.

Can you hit a 95 mph fastball or an 84 mph curve ball? Can you stand at third base and field screaming line drives that fly off the bat at over 100 mph over the base? Baseball requires extreme eye-hand coordination and quick reflexes and fast thinking. What would you do if you were the second baseman, a ball is hit to you, the baserunner on second base is only a quarter way to third, you have a chance to get him out, do you get the lead runner or do you get the sure out at first? Steroids may make people bigger and stronger, but they don't help you hit the ball.
Hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports. Some of the best hitters who play this game regularly hit .300 or higher, that's only 30% of the time. Look at other sports where a certain level is looked at as being good:
Football: 60% completion percentage
Basketball: 70% shooting percentage
Hockey: Do they track scoring percentage of shots on goal to goals?
Baseball: 30% hitting average.
I think this is a very ignorant question btw.

Hitting a baseball is a very difficult thing to do. Hitting the ball one-third of the time you are at bat makes you an all-star. That's per at bat. If you take the number of pitches per at bat and use that as the batting average hitting the ball 10% of the time makes you a hall of famer.
BUT STERIODS DON'T HELP YOU HIT THE BALL, only can make you hit it farther.
Dork, what sport, if any since you are a self-proclaimed DORK, do you like?
Wrestling... steriods more prevalent than baseball
Football... probably more than baseball
Cycling... steroids there too
Soccer... yeah, that's your sport, running around like a dog fetching a ball.

Spoken like a person who either tried the game, realized they had no ability at it and quit, or someone who never had the guts to even try it. People like you that are so obsessive about making a point that you dislike something usually have no knowledge about the thing they hate so much. However, people with even an IQ of 75 realize that the best thing to do with something that obviously disturbs them so greatly is to avoid it. You, on the other hand, have become obsessed with something that you clearly despise.
Get over it all ready, you misinformed troll.

the NFL has a much greater steroid problem. but no one seems to care that guys like Bill Romanowski, straight up say, roids are all over the place in football. their testing policy is far worse than that of the MLB. you get a longer suspension for smoking some weed in the NFL than taking steroids.

Why do you spend so much time in here? I'm confused.
This is also not the first time you've asked this exact question.
Every time you've been incorrect about something - you don't "fetch" the bat ("stick",) you "fetch" the ball.
Next time you try saying something clever, make sure you at least take the time to do it right.
Now go change, you just pissed your Underoos.

must be so cool to be you.
Asking the same question, over and over again.
I wonder for what reason?
Are you trying to convince baseball fans that they are wrong to put their passion in a game that YOU don't like?
What else would you like the world to adapt to, based on your preferences? Oh, I know, reading some of your other questions, you want the world to revert back to the 20's and 30's.

Because loudly hitting a small ball 500 feet with a stick is very, very cool. We all wish we could do it.
