What is difference between human n animals if both eat, drink, think and live comfortable lives?

I mean to say which things make difference or which things make a man apart from animals

We humans were created in the image and likeness of God, and that's why we can do so many things that animals cannot. Animals die and that's it - they are done! Humans die and that's only the beginning of the end or the beginning of eternal life - heaven or hell..

The level of intelligence. Most animals survive by instinct not skill. The fear you get when you are out alone at night in the dark? Thats instinct.

Humans, some primates, and some will argue dolphins and pigs, have a level of intelligence that allow them to overwrite instincts for the most part.

Intelligence....however the more science studies animals the more we realize that animals can learn, communicate, make tools, adapt, etc.( all the things that made us "higher lifeforms" than animals) this is closing the gap between humans and animals.
