I was driving it one night to town, when I stopped at a stop sign my car just died. I tried jumping it and push starting it and it won't fire. Since then I have checked the fuel pump and filter the coil and the spark plugs. All seems well. Does anyone else know what it could be? I have also thought that it could be the Fuel injectors but I have not checked those yet. Can someone Please help?

Doesn't the NEON have a rubber timing belt? If you have good spark and the right amount of fuel, you might want to check to see if the spark is visible at the spark plug. If push starting didn't get any results, could there be water in the fuel? Lastly, is the spark getting to the combustion chamber just before Top Dead Center with both valves closed.

Test for the presence of ignition spark using the tester below and if good, spray quick start into the air intake to see if you have a fuel problem. If you have engine VIN C or F on your 2 liter 4 cylinder SOHC engine, then you have an "interference" type engine that bends the valves if the timing belt breaks. It's due for replacement at 105,000 according to the http://www.gates.com website. If the engine cranks over especially fast now, maybe your timing belt has broken.

Try spraying starting fluid in the intake. If it sounds like it wants to turn over and start, your problem is fuel related. If not, it's electrical. That will at least narrow down your search. Good luck

If it doesn't start, it may be the battery, the starter or the alternator. I would check them in that order. Good luck!

it could be your distributor or your fuel injectors.
