For example, Britany Spears and Kevin Federline were allowed joint cusitody of their children, and the court took into consideration that both parents abuse alcohol and drugs. The court only ordered that they not use drugs around their children, but isn't substance abuse grounds for removing the children from their parents' care because clearly as drug abusers, they are unfit to care for small children?

Most people today would lose custody of their kids if they were caught abusing. But most people are not rich and famous, like Britney and Kevin.

because a mom and dad are better than no mom and dad sad but true there was a case here in minnesota where the moms boyfriend was sexually molesting the girl so they stuck her with the step mom and dad and they stuck her in a bathtub of extremely hot water and basically boiled her to death the real dad that they had stuck her with was charged with abusing her to and instead of putting her with grandma who loved her dearly they did this to her she was 11 yrs old...never a happy day in her life what a travisty

Because I think half these judges are probably abusing alcohol and drugs too. I can't think of another rational explanation.
