Some people with a given talent are burdened with a heavy expectation to not only maintain but even improve upon such talents. This will eventually cause the talented one to feel resentful and spiteful towards others as a result.
On the other hand, sometimes this burden is placed upon by oneself. Having a chip on one's shoulder can be a sort of self-motivator to help one hone their skills and talents.

When I have had a chip on my shoulders (disregards for people) I could not discover my talent inside me – my talent was wasted in my 'soul'.
At present, I have no more disregards for anyone, I love people and I have discovered my writer talent. So about your question, a person who is a talented one with a chip on their shoulders doesn't make him a fabulous one.

Resentment for the inherent responsibility that talent
carries with it. Insecurity in carrying the load.
Ego trip --could be lots of things.
No chips here, I'm not overly talented in anything.

How much talent? Arrogant people usually have no other talent then getting by with a low IQ. If you are intelligent and have talent, you keep low profile. How often is Warren Buffet in the news compared to O.J.?

Because they are riddled with insecurities, because most of them know that the talent they possess is pretty much all they have going for them, so they have to lord it over everyone and be an egocentric twit (like pretty much every young Hollywood starlet these days). If they really liked themselves and had confidence in themselves as people, they probably wouldn't have to drink and do drugs and throw phones at assistants and flash their va-jay-jays coming out of limos, because they'd actually have pride and self-worth.

A lot of hard work, to compete with the rest, makes even the good nature people have an attitude.

I have found that it's usually because they think they're a lot better than other people because they have a talent.

They have lost their way and forgotten to be grateful to God for giving them their abilities. Pray for them that they see the error of their ways and put their talents to use, for example helping the poor, raising money for charity etc.
