I am 13. I get this yellowish stuff in my underwear. It doesn't smell much. I'm a bit worried about it, I don't really want to tell anybody, but does anyone know what it is and why it's there?

It could be a wide range of things. Some perfectly natural and just the way you are, to many types of infections. Females often have a natural discharge. Many times it is more prominent or more of, right before or around a menstrual cycle. Sometimes it's more apparent after sexual intercourse. As I said it can be quite natural or an infection of many types. From a yeast, bladder infection to something sexual. Most females experience some type of discharge. As for why its there I can't quite say... If its from natural reasons, I assume for moisture as needed. For other reasons such as infection I'd say its a cause from. I'd ask the doctor on your next visit to be sure.

If you are sexually active and have had unprotected sex recently then it might be worth looking into. The doctors office can't tell your parents anything about you and your reproductive health. But if you are not sexually active and have recently been on antibiotics it could be the beginning of a yeast infection. Yeast infections are usually a white cottage cheese looking discharge that itches. But you might be at the beginning stage of it. It good that you mentioned the smell because if it starts to smell worse then you have to go to a doctor. Good job on being in tune with your body!!!!!

If you've had your period and its irregular you might want to talk to your doctor about getting the pill. EVEN IF YOU ARENT SEXUALLY ACTIVE. It balances out your hormones. The yellow stuff is the outer wall of your uterus trying to be shed. ITs normal.
If you havent had your period it might be coming if it isnt then it might be a yeast infection. I hope this helps.

honey it's just discharge, all women get this. Especially right before or after your period. As long as it doesn't start smelling really strong, you are fine. You can talk to your mom about it if you want, there's nothing to be embarassed about.
