I know sex sells in all but thats all it is now. I think it has crossed a line. The show coming out about the bi-sexual its like the bachelor show. These types of shows send such adult messages to teens. It's terrible that regardless they are subjected to sexually charged shows, commercials and conversations so much younger than ever before. Almost all shows now have some sort of "sex" in them. HBO, SHO all of those have practically a little pron worked into each episode. I'm an adult and not a prude by far but I still think this is getting crazy.

I have to agree with you...things on TV are getting a little out of hand to be aired really.

Raciness per se doesn't bother me, but the tastelessness does.

Uh, teens are pretty much thinking about sex all the time, no matter what's on TV. TV isn't really giving them ideas.

As for the pay for channels, that's part of the reason they exist; they don't have to abide by the same standards.

Parents who want to control what their kids see can do so, what with the censoring technology they have now.

Sex is a part of life, and people are interested in sex.

I just wish there wasn't so much crudity and lack of taste about it (and other bodily functions).

I was just thinking about this the other day...Its so weird actually. Even like MTV, among other channels(who's audience ranges from pre teens to young adults...) has these very racy shows on there and then they wonder why so many kids are getting pregnant and what not...its because its out there and these kids are thinking its ok to be careless in that way..so sad.

I have mixed feelings about this. Yes, there is a lot of gratuitous sex in many shows, and we monitor what our kids see and watch. On the other hand, I don't want my daughters calling sex perverted or twisted just because it's sex or think that it is degrading.

It's a fine line.

I agree. You should see some of the stuff on public TV in Europe. There is full nudity on some shows and barebreasted women on all of the time.

Much of TV is crap! I watch very little, and prefer to read a book. If it bothers you, turn it off. Most of it is gutter level stuff these days, anyhow. Not worth wasting my remaining brain cells on.

I know what you mean.

Pretty sad when we can't even let our kids watch the commercials.
