Do American men want a foreign wife because they are too poor to satisfy an American woman?

If you can't afford to treat an American woman in the way she is used to being treated in the richest country of the world then you need a foreign woman.

Is that why they do it? Because they are not up for the challenge and can't satisfy a woman with hearty needs?

See, that would imply that American women are money hungry. Is that the case, or has that been your experience? I don't know. But I'll tell you this - the American men I know like foreign women because they are not afraid of differences. In fact, they like and embrace those differences.

FYI - the richest country in the world is United Arab Emirates. You should see how ARABS treat their women if you think Americans treat them "well"....

Non-american woman are much, much more demanding. By saying "treating woman in the richest country" states that women are only interested in money... well not from the rest of the world.

American woman are often times always wanting something more. They are never happy with what they have. Not to mention extremely materialistic.
Not all are like this, but it's something that I discovered after I dated a Brazilian girl. Foreign women seem to not care as much about how much money you have, or what kind of car you drive, and seem to care more about the actual person rather than what he has.

Nice try to render a local wife a trophy and a foreign wife a badge of poverty and failure however the opposite is the truth.
It is RICH men who get foreign wifes.

1. They THINK before getting married and based on their thought process they decide that local women arent the best fruits and look elsewhere.

2. They can afford to travel, they arent stucked in Missouri or the Ruhrgebiet, it takes money to get an foreign wife.

To conclude, a local woman is for the poor shmuch who doesnt know any better.
The foreign woman is the catch somone with money and the freedom to travel can get.

For starters, some of the comments these men are making (such as Cassius) are downright hateful and misogynistic.

Clearly, there are plenty of foreign women who are educated, driven, and have "hearty needs." There are also plenty of American woman who DON'T have hearty needs. Still, I appreciate this question and think it is valid. What marriages between American men and foreign women often come down to is money. Many of these men essentially "buy" a foreign wife--they are not able to meet women on their own, so they go on a hunt for a woman that will be so desperate to get into America she'll do anything (including marry an older, socially awkward male). And, most of these men think they are going to get a doll, basically. I am not talking about American men that happen to meet foreign women while traveling and maybe fall in love with one--that is just plain old fate and love--I am talking about American men that SEEK OUT foreign women. That's creepy and there have to be some weird motivations there.

That percentage is low and the same then in the "Foreign" countries. It too, works both way, with US women going for immigrants (see Maria Shriver and Arnold), or totally foreign.
It's a non issue and good, to mix up the races and not inbreed.

No it has nothing to do with that... I would prefer an experienced gf, but an unexperienced wife personally... MOST (not all )American women are growing up with a mentality of self-entitlement to all the best things in life, they are greedy for material possessions, never satisfied with life standard, never grateful, impatient, lazy, often promiscuous, often heavy drinkers, have shady past, quick to divorce and rob you of your possessions... Having said that, there are some American women that are real sweethearts and possess great human qualities but they are "endangered species..."

I am rich enough and I am not dependent on anyone....and can take care of a man regardless of his status and I am Indian. Neither have I decided to marry anyone outside my country. But for your kind information American women are great, the ones I met have been married to one man and have cool ethics and a great example to their kids...

The matter is DIVORCE and being with one person all your life be it Canadian American brit or Asian......
