I've been comtemplating this theory and have yet to prove it.

When I do get my sources, I'll make this theory official to every one in the Politics section.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Life.... well they want to stop it before it starts with abortion.

Liberty..... They want to censor everything they don't like and want to force people to listen to what they have to say. And they want to control every aspect of your life that you will let them control

Pursuit of happiness..... They want to tax you so much to give your money that you worked hard for to people who don't work so they can live like you. Then you have to make more money to get away from these lowlifes that don't want to work only to be taxed more so their standard of living can be closer to yours.

They have destroyed the middle class and blame it on people that make enough money to get out of this cycle when if they never would have tried to make everyone equal many things would not happened: inflation, higher prices on homes and cars higher food prices and the devaluation of the dollar. How well off would we be if more restrictions and time limits were put on welfare? Or if it did not exist at all?

If you wish to publish a thesis, you should be careful to define and document.
You are on a correct track, but the term Liberal is a bit broad, just as the term conservative is too broad.
if you ask for definitions for those terms, I bet even dictionaries will vary.
In your thesis, you should start by defining Liberal.
If you make a blanket statement, many will disagree because you may be describing the "Move on dot org" types and the reader may be thinking anyone short of a pure Lassie faire capitalist is liberal.
Since power corrupts, too much power in the hands of a very few power hungry right wing extremists could also create a classist society and strongly interfere with life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Mexico is a prime example.
Mexico is a wealthy nation with an extreme classist society.
In Mexico, if you are not born into the upper class, it doesn't matter WHAT your education, knowledge or skills are, or how hard you work. You don't have a chance! You can work hard until you die and NEVER get ahead. That is why so many are willing to risk dieing in the desert to come to the U.S.A. What choice do they have? Risk dieing in the desert quickly or stay at home and die a slow death. - That perspective is rarely stated in this forum.
Our more balanced and moderate society allows individuals to benefit from their labor. Liberalism is part of that balance. It is not ALL bad.

Yes. While Chavez and Ahmadinajad are in town, these blithering idiots stand outside and chant "arrest Bush." I am no fan of Bush but for chrissake. Are libs naive, destructive, deviant, brainwashed, ignorant? I don't get it, I can not understand why the citizens of our own country would be the first to applaud to see it burn. But you know, do you think these islamic extremists would say "hey Dems and libs, thanks for all you help but now you need to evacuate because we are gonna blow this place and everyone in it" ??? NO, they will slit your throats just the same! They will watch you burn just the same and all the leftist rhetoric empowers them to do so. i just don't understand how such a large group of people could be so scandalously short sighted.

The term 'Liberal' is derived from Liberty you divisive hack, when will you realise the only reason you aren't living in England is because of Liberals? The Liberal Founding Fathers went against the norm, leaving England to create a wonderful nation, a nation and a Constitution that Conservatives like you tread and spit upon everyday!

Well dear friend, they are a big threat to the life of the unborn, the liberty of those who disagree with them, but they sure give me a good laugh with their childish antics sometimes :)

No, I think they would love to have that kind of power. Our biggest threat today is extremist terrorists. And of course the criminals on the streets. I cannot and won't let them, either one, interfere with my life, my freedom to be an individual with the right to chose what is right, or my happiness!

The fringe group may be, just as the fringe group of the right may be. We all need to stand up against our fringe and force them out of our parties. The regular American is no threat to this country and I firmly believe we can make it work. We MUST work together to make this happen.

Gee, I would think someone whose entire purpose is to quash opposing views is a bigger threat. Your fear of a democracy in which dissent is a virtue, should be a bigger concern for yourself, but all we can see is someone who points fingers and has nothing of meaning to say.
