I disagree. The Iranian president was NOT treated badly. Were you even listening? The president of Colombia was simply stating facts-that Ahmadinejad really has executed a lot of people, and he HAS imprisoned many unjustly. Mind you, Colombia is already a very liberal school, and the president is already open enough to invite the president of Iran and keep an open mind. He is simply reminding people that just because they invited the president of Iran (and someone who has committed genocide) does not mean you should look up to them or feel compelled to share his ideas.

I think it's interesting that the president of Iran was invited to come to Columbia University to speak.
He knows the position of the USA regarding his country, so he would be prepared to encounter some hostility from the people.
It is a good gesture and shows that America keeps an open mind. We don't see our president being invited to Iran to speak to the University there.

The record of his failings is exceptionally long. He became my Commander In chief. He did no longer spend one dime on the protection stress that he did no longer ought to. For all 4 years of my USAF excursion we had 0.5 the manpower we've been meant to have. If it wasn't for kit left over from Viet Nam, we'd have had no longer something. The bastard invented an entire new rank (Senior Airman) so he did no longer ought to provide me a advance (Sergeant) for 18 months whilst his inflation became raging. Kinda difficult being married with 2 young ones in Las Vegas whilst unexpectedly it became introduced that the newly invented rank payed comparable to my previous rank. I denounce him interior the main effective a hazard words.

I don't know why, it's a crazy world isn't it? Why do we suffer all the buttholes on the planet hanging out at the UN living in our our country and griping about us? And all the visiting buttholes like Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and Nikita Kruschev.
I don't think that Ahmadinijad was treated all that bad, he went home alive didn't he.

Not the likes of him! I wish he would not have come over here. He is a tyrant and extremely violent. How dare he come over here when he has made it known that he hates Americans and others, not to mention he has a horrible history of promoting violence and unrest.
Remember a few months ago when he allowed the British hostages to be held for weeks before he said "Oh, here's a gift to your British gubmint"?
Why invite terrorists anywhere?

he already shot himself in the foot when he encouraged mass genocide by saying israel should be wiped of the map
if he read his bible to hear the word's of the prophet, i mean the Son of God, instead of that head chopping nonsense in that other book he would have read the words
Treat others as you yourself would like to be treated.
the golden rule
see how simple it is Mr Mah'mood
But at the same time, they should have treated him with outstanding respect, showing and welcoming him and truly showing the difference between a democeracy and a regime
if only,
can't help thinking it's all part of a grand ploy though
welcome him like a lamb while his country has fission technology
as if to say, it's all neutral now
it's scary either way

I have mixed feelings. He treats many living in iran much worse than he was treated yesterday, and who knows what he would do to us and Israel if he could. Probably more than say things we would prefer not to hear, many of which were true. Also, he obviously was into a propaganda visit and that was offset to some degree by his introduction.
But was Columbia two-faced and were they playing down to his level? To some degree you have to answer yes.
UPDATE: Now he's gone him to a sympathetic welcome whereas before, his popularity was waning. Nice move Columbia.

Your right. Ahmadinjad (incorrect spelling) actually looked like the victim! A freaking dictator looked like a victim all because the president of Columbia University insulted him for no reason.

Yes very much so. He was kind enough to accept the invitation but when he attends, he was outright insulted. Thankfully, he was couragous enough to give as good as he got and continued bravely. Many people would not have that patience and just left.
