Hi, the return of the USA cricket team depends on the ICC's decision. Originally, USA was granted ICC membership on 1965. Its membership status was suspended recently on March 3, 2007.

USA has been playing cricket for a long time, if you didnt know. Its first ever match was on 24 September 1844 v Canada at St George's Cricket Club in New York. It is understood from anecdotal evidence that George Washington was a strong supporter of cricket, participating at least one occasion in games of cricket with his troops at Valley Forge during the American Revolution.

But since the baseball rose in popularity, there was no concentration on cricket. USA failed miserably in many cricket comeptitions. In May 2007 the USA were to visit Darwin, Australia to take part in Division Three of the ICC World Cricket League.A top two finish in this tournament would have qualified them for Division Two of the same tournament later in the year.Unfortunately, the United States of America Cricket Association was suspended from the ICC and the team was pulled from this competition

Hence, It was suspended due to poor performances and cannot be back until it shows good performances.

Hope I helped :) Thanks !

There is an ongoing dispute between the east and west coast cricket organizations. Besides, USACA or the USA cricket association had its own plans to popularize cricket here in America and the ICC did not approve of it. So the ICC chucked them out.
