In the Islamic world damn near everything carries the death penalty it seems,or at a minimum a severe beating. There are women who have been hung or stoned to death for pre-marital sex,while usually the man gets a public whipping at worst. There are even a few cases where women have ended up being hung for what was clearly a rape,rather than fornication. And Homosexuals will be killed if caught,that's a certainty. But in the case of Iran I have to say,what do you expect from a country that would stop a sporting event because the men were offended by a 12 year old female fan being allowed in the stands. These people have some very severe issues when it comes to women.
