Black activist with non-african hair, seriously man?

It's a not a racist question. I just think it's a bit odd that a black activist would straighten his hair.

I don't think he's less black for doing that.

It's kind of like a white supremist with cornrows. (Not impling that Sharpton is a bigot)

Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant.

People don't relax their hair to somehow become less black. It is a choice. Just as you may choose to dye your hair, tease it or whatever. A relaxer does not somehow make you less black!

Being black is not about the texture of your hair!!!

We can do whatever we want with our hair. If a white person puts braids or waves in their hair are they trying to be black or Hispanic? Of course not.

his relaxed hair symbolizes a friendship between him and James Brown (he was James Brown' manager before he became activist) and besides the texture of his hair has nothing to do with his fight for equality
