what are the 3 co ordinates of f(x)=x(x-4)(x+2)....

i know that the 3 co ordinates of, say, f(x)=(x-2)(x-3)(x-1) are 2, 3, and 1. But I'm not sure when there aren't 3 set brackets like in the question.

Thanks

It has been a long time since I studied this and I don't believe that co coordinate was in use at that time, but I think you mean what values of x will make f(x) = 0

f(x) = x * (x-4) * (x+2)
(x=0) (x=4) (x=-2)

I think you mean the three ZEroS, because, usually, it is written: f(x) = etc ... = 0.

For x(x-4)(x+2) = 0, this happens when

x=0 | x-4 = 0 | x+2 = 0 or
x= 0 | x=4 | x=-2.

it doesn't matter if there is no bracket for the first x. the x-intercepts are (0,0) (4,0) and (-2,0). Do the same as u did for the 2nd f(x) eqn
