Hi,

Factura Proforma means "Proforma Invoice"

This is not an actual invoice, but is sent to the buyer to enable the buyer to open an L/C, make a payment in advance etc.

Definitions :

1) An invoice sent in advance of shipment, usually to enable the buyer to obtain an import permit or foreign exchange permit, or both. The proforma invoice gives a close approximation of the weights and values of the shipment to be made.

2) An invoice received before a sale is consummated, information the buyer of the terms of sale. Pro forma invoices are often used in foreign trade as the buyer's proof of future sale when applying for import licenses and foreign exchange through government agencies.

Hope this is helpful.
