I saw this program last night about this guy called Danny who used to be a girl (quite a looker too). He was going through the stages of having a sex change and was such a nice dude. People around where he lived would shout things at him and call him freak! WHY are people so nasty. Concentrate on your own life I say! What do YOU say?

People always discriminate against something they can't wrap their tiny minds around!

I asked a question just this week about reactions towards children who feel they have been born the wrong gender. It seems the majority of people believe that everyone should make their own choice as to what they feel about themselves and how they should go about it. It seems like the common sense way to go, as only they will understand best how they feel about themselves.

I think the nastiness is due to ignorance.

Hey Yanda,

I agree with you, but people nowadays have developed a tendency to get into other's life. They are not concerned about their sadness rather they are sad about why other's are happy.

The fact is no one is bothered about themselves. Human mind always looks for a change and that frequency of change is increasing day by day.

It may sound confusing but thats the reality.

Hope that answers ur point.
take care,

jeet

People are just afraid of what they don't understand. Most people don't know how to disagree with someone else's decisions without making fun of them or calling them out in the process. I'm afraid we haven't quite gotten that "live and let live" thing down and we CERTAINLY haven't grasped the fact that LOVE and understanding are much more powerful than hate and cruelty... and SOME people are just assholes. (lol unfortunately...)

sure u are right people should mind their own damn business. Im straight but I wont descriminate because u are gay or colored or whatevers. I think humans r humans regardless of what we choose to be. Then again I do hate gay people that goes around yelling to the world that they're gay! good for u that u have the guts to admit it! but who gives a ****? at least I dont. example. I had a friend and she was really cool with me, we used to talk for hours and u know we got really close. Then one day I asked her out as u know a date whatever and all she said was oh well Im gay and I really hate men! and she gave the s h i t that she thought I was different and from that point on she stopped talking to me. woa what a shocker to me that was... she didnt have to date me it was her choice but stop talking cuz I was not gay? she had some issues. she wanted to be accepted for what she was yet she didnt accept me for what I was... a human being thats all.

I think people are scared of things they don't understand and unfortunately sometimes that is their natural reaction. Seeing how they did a show on him, maybe the townspeople would think twice about how they treated him - hopefully anyways. Society still has a loooong ways to go hmm?

People are scared of the "unknown" and change. People were raised to be cruel. I with you and wonder why people just don't mind their own business.People have nothing better to do with their lives than to pick on others

Well, it is human nature to be wary of what ppl do not understand. I have a few trans-gendered friends and they all get the same treatment. ( BTW, i would make and uuuuugly man!! lol)

peace be upon you
we live in the same world and we should discuss everything in it.
to change yourself from male to female or from female to male is a serious topic , and of course many people will disagree and others may agree.
everyone should say , why he see this is right ?or why see this wrong?
so we can build an idea about the topic .its advantages and disadvantages so we can avoid its danger so we protect ourselves and our childrens from all dangers.
