Did it change your life ?

Why are we paying for prisons{prisoners} Does crime pay? and why are we paying for the lovely people that cross our borders ? Are they or do they have more self worth than an American Citizen?

My point is ?We send too much Aide overseas and why are we doing that when Americans have such great needs?And How far did your American dollar go? As it is not worth much now?

I've been to Israel 3 times. The U.S. Navy took me there. I did make friends with an Israeli soldier my last visit there in May of '85. We wrote back and forth for a few years then his letters stopped. In 2000 I got a letter from his sister. She found my address in his things. He had been killed in a skirmish by the Palestinians in '97.
My life wasn't changed by going to Israel, anymore than the other 31 countries I've been to (and stationed in 3). Only ONE changed my life...Viet Nam.

I visited Jerusalem for a long weekend in 1989.

I wouldn't say that it changed my life, but it was an unforgettable experience.

Not me. I have a couple of friends that have spent time there, no it did not change their lives. One family is religious anyway.
