She has the same right to show up as the people who are trying to get him OUT of prison.

Are you this guy? How do you know he has been punished enough?
It is totally fair for the victim to come to parole hearings. She, after all, is the one he used. She is the one who was violated. She will never get over it. The rape changed her life, it changed how she looked at life. You do not know what you did to her emotionally or physically. Did you beat her to get her to comply?
She is going on with her life. She just makes time to be sure you don't get out and rape someone else. When you are too old to get it up anymore she may relent and remove her objections to your leaving prison. Bravo for her.

The whole idea of a parole hearing is to determine IF the guy HAS been punished enough. So who has a better right to be there to provide input on that judgment than his victim. Dude, a rape victim does hopefully get on with her life, but she NEVER gets over it.

she should get over it???? nice attitude.. have you ever been violated like that, i see you getting over it...
as for her coming to the parole hearing, it is a public affair, anyone can come and influence the board. If she feels that her experience was so horrible and that the guy does not deserve an early discharge, that is her right to say so, after all she is the victim and not him.

10 years later she may still not be able to be home alone, may not be able to make love to a man without primal physical fear, she may not be able to let her child out of her site with even her own male relatives which damages yet another human being, she may have nightmares and have to shower in the middle of the night to wash the filth the man that raped her left on her body.
Yes she has the right and responsibility to every other woman on earth to be there to prevent this person from ever hurting another human. Even if he has been punished by the law he can never be punished the way he punished his victim...........................................

I think if you asked that question to incite anger from people here you have succeded! I think the rape victim should be allowed in every time the piece of *** comes up for parole, and also be allowed to enter with a shotgun, fully loaded and ******!

It is more then fair and no she should not get over it. She will never GET OVER IT but she she will learn to move on and live with it. And you know what just like he is her worst nightmare she has every right to become his and make his life as misreable as hers. Yes this guy has been punish but what the hell did this girl do to deserve the punishment he decided on his own to give her. I say hang the a**h***!!! And I hope she pops up for the rest of his life. He should thought twice. In my eyes his punishment should never end. I say keep him in I do not want a another rapist out to possiable harm myself or my children or any one else cuz they can not control their sexual desires. Like I said Hang him

This guy needs to stay in prison for the rest of his life. This girl has something that is going to follow her the rest of her life. She will never recover from this completely. If the guy gets out he is just going to rape someone else. Why let him do that to another girl? If it was your mother, sister, aunt or neice that got raped would you want to let that monster out of jail? Ask yourself that question and then you decide what you would do.

It's absolutely fair. The rapist inflicted emotional scars that can last forever.
I find it funny that criminals and people that think like you want to give all kinds of rights to the criminal at the expense of the victim.
It's very simple..... If you don't want to do the time, don't do the crime.
If it had been you that had been raped, or your sister, you probably would see things differently.

YES. It is a victim's right to confront the person who committed the crime. And it is the possible parolee's right to speak for himself and have witnesses speak up for him.
If the person didn't want to spend time in jail, he shouldn't have committed the crime to start with.
She is suffering from post-traumatic stress and you're saying "she should just get over it and go on with her life"? She can't help how she feels. And you would be wise to show more compassion to victims of vicious crimes.

Yes, I think it is fair, that pervert needs to serve his full sentence and not be let out early. He should have thought about the possibility of going to prison before he committed the crime. I hopes he rots in jail and that she keeps attending any hearings that may let him out early and that may allow him to rape again.
