what number plugged into e^x gives you 0?

e^x never vanishes, not even if x is a complex number. On the real line, e^x > 0 for every x and lim (x --> -oo) e^x = 0. But no number x makes e^x into 0.

There is no such number.
However, when x= minus infinity e^x=0. Note that this is used in math concepts and infinity is not a number.

e=zero, as long as x>0
