How many more will lose limbs, eyes, and suffer brain damage? How much has the national debt risen since the start of the war? Why did Cheney move his personal investments offshore and into Euros, and why did Halliburton more to Dubai? The only people who have suffered are American soldiers, the lower and middle classes, and countless Iraqis. What price have the rich paid? The international corporations? The oil companies? Funny how protecting US national security means everyone losing out except those on top.

Just kidding, we did it to spread freedom, security and Democracy [sarcasm off]

As many as it will take for Bush to continue to make a profit. Don't you see, he as to keep his options open for when he's no longer Pres. and those oil fields are so tempting to him. When he's out of office it will all come out, and those who supported him will look even more stupid than they already do. Isn't it ironic that the one general that was against Bush's policy was replaced? How many of his assistants/secretarys have stepped down since he started this war? There are too many secrets about the real reasons we are there, and only time will reveal them. And yes, it sucks that our young men and women have to suffer because they believed in protecting America....not protecting oil fields.

I don't think that Americans can live without oil, since every product that we use from the time we get out of bed to the time we hit the sack either has some form of oil in it or a machine that uses oil was implemented in its manufacture. Plus, a plane, boat, or truck that guzzles gas brought the product to the store that you bought it in.
Considering that without oil our way of life would be utterly destroyed and countless Americans would die without the heat, food, etc. that it provides, I really can't think of anything more important that we could be fighting for. Fighting for oil is fighting for American lives. You have a good point about the rich getting off the hook though.

"Boys?" My you really ARE confused. Maybe you should drop to your knees and make them men! Oh, I'm sorry. Was that offensive? It's easy to be an uninformed, opinionated arm chair general. Perhaps you should look at the bigger picture and realize what's REALLY at stake and then do your part to secure the economy for the world at large.

What does Israel have to do with it? Do you really think that Israel is happy with what Bush and the Republicans did? Taking a country that was not a threat and creating a breading ground for terrorists? If you do not like Bush's occupation of Iraq say so, but don't use it as an excuse for spreading anti-semitic Israelaphobic propaganda.

No one has ever joined the military for "oil, israel, and protection of the petro dollar". People join the army because, "They don't have any better options".

So leave them alone, meanie.
