Whatever comes from your heart, he knows you love him, On the note on being pokai, how did that happened if you don't mind me asking? In these harsh times, you will have to plan ahead much further and you do need to save like 10% of your pay in case of emergencies. You're already 31 years old! You need to save, you're not getting any younger and you must save for your golden years. Most Malaysians (shockingly) do not plan for their retirement (or careless planning, not taking into account of rising prices over the years), some housewives don't even have plans should something happen to their husbands and what about the kids? If you don't plan carefully, you may end up loaning money from loan sharks and that can end up being in a dangerous road... If you were in your early 20s, I wouldn't be typing all of this but you're already in your 30s and soon it will hit the 40 mark and then the 50 mark.

I think it would be fun to spend the day with her at a nice beauty spa/salon. Get facials and manicures and pedicures, massage and then hit the town for a fun evening. Its just really nice to get pampered and its unforgettable as well. Giving your friend a good memory of fun times with you is a great gift:)

You could buy her an original birthday newspaper printed on the day she was born. Check this site out http://www.birthdaynewspapers.co.uk for gift ideas. Prices for birthday newspapers start from £19.95 which is very reasonable, hope this helps you!

If you're really not sure, perhaps a gift certificate. Like for a nice restaurant or to get her hair done, or to buy a new outfit for herself.
