The fact that you are aware that your mom is emotionally needy and that it will probably impact your development shows a level of insight and maturity that indicates to me that you will probably turn out pretty well.

It can be a burden on your family.
Don't worry about being a momma's boy. A mother is as important as a wife or child.
If no one else in your family will take the responsibility to help her, then it very well may fall on you.

You could become a coddled mama's boy 'cause she wants you around her and tries to protect you all the time. Putting distance between you and her will be painful to both of you but you can't change her. Live your own life.

it could turn you homosexual or a sucker for any woman who starts to cry. women are emotional and use emotion to get their way by imposing their emotions on others and playing on sympathies. be strong and don't feed into what you know to be bullshit.
