It could be that men in general nowadays are considered supernumerary. The burn your bra brigade has effectively made women more masculine in their attitude and demeanor. Men do not want to compete with their girlfriends, no matter how much the ladies think so. Very often girls talk to men like the First lady would talk to her head gardener and Head gardeners at the White House ain't gonna talk back. Be feminine and you will get all the chatter you want!
