Hands down ... arthropods (which includes insects).

With 4-6 million species, that's more than all the other invertebrates ... and vertebrates ... *combined*.

Wow that's actually kind of tough. My initial guess would be arthropoda because of the sheer number of beetles alone.. but nematoda seems like a pretty darn good one too.

I would place my highest bet on B, though.

B. Arthropoda is first with over a million species

Mollusca is second with about 50,000 species. That's not a very close second!

B. Arthropoda -- as far as we currently know. There're certainly more IDENTIFIED species of arthropod than of any other group you've listed.

I would say b. hands down. There are a ton of arthropods thanks to the class insecta. They out number all ANIMALS (not just invertebrates) combined.

Plus, lobster is yummy
