Lie: I was in the battle of the bulge.(was in fact training in Alabama)
Embellishment:It was soooo cold during the battle of the bulge,my bullets would only go 20 yards and then tried to come back.( person was actually there and added a humorous twist to the story)

Lying is saying: Iraq has WMD even though you know it is not the truth.

Embellishing is saying: I did not have sex with that woman
Because strictly speaking he did not, but we all know that argument does not amount to a hill of beans.

Let's say your wife wakes you up in the middle of the night and asks you to go downstairs to get her a glass of water, and your response is "I will, dear, and gladly."

If you really intend to roll over and go back to sleep, you are lying. If you go and get the water, you are merely embellishing the truth by indicating that you did so gladly.

A lie is NOT the truth, and you know it. Embellish is when you 'flavor' the story.
eg. I could have danced all night (but I sure as hell wasn't going to)

There's no difference in a court of law. Anything you say in court that is not 100% accurate to the best of your knowledge is a lie, period.

God is not a man that he should lie(law).
Let God be true, but every man a liar.
Law vs Law is as Loser vs Loser.
As in (first & last) Adam all die.

As for Law vs Grace, well,
only what began can end.
Law began & Law ends.
Grace is eternal.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Take Barry Bonds for example... he was asked if he ever took steroids...

His answer: "I passed every test they gave me"

Notice he never answered the question, he defelcted it , and his answer makes it look like he is denying taking steroids, but in fact, he is just saying he never got caught.

He is hoping by believing that answer, you believe he didn't take steroids.
