The answer is yes. There are NUMEROUS kits for North American domestic engines that can increase the stroke via a new crankshaft, and larger pistons. No, larger pistons are NOT a racing technique, but normal rebuild procedures. The increase in total displacement is rather low for just oversize pistions, as you are limited in just how big you can go due to cylinder wall size. I took a 4 liter jeep engine to 4.7 liter via a combination of bore size and longer stroke, Chevy 350 has a popular conversion to 383, cubic inch and so on.
However, none if this is particulary cheap or easy. Foreign engine displacement increases are usually limited to oversize pistons, which is a small increase in total displacement.
Good Luck

You can't "replace a cylinder", but you can get the cylinder "bored", resulting in a larger cylinder and more displacement. This can get tricky as if it is bored out too much, irreversible damage is caused. Follow the advise of the answerers above and get a new or rebuilt engine of equal or higher displacement.

You can have your engine rebuilt, which means that you can have it removed from your car and the shop can bore and stroke it, and do several other things to get it back to like new condition if you would like them to.
Or there are shops all over the country that sell engines that have already been re-manufactured, and that process includes boring out the cylinders and installing larger pistons. They can remove your engine and replace it with a similar one from thier inventory.
These solutions are all expensive. So the first question I would ask is "why do you want to do that?"
Good luck.

you can get the cylinders machined (bored) so as they have a larger capacity but this is really a racing technique.
I would advise you just get a bigger engine in the first place! Would probably cost as much/more unless you know someone handy!
